Erudite is it something or someone who has a vast culture, on a certain subject. Scholar is an adjective that may be related to song, à reading, or to culture in general. Scholar is related to anything that is well elaborated, studied, cared for, such as classical works, classical music, classical guitar, etc.
Scholar is also that person who is always willing to learn, who is always studying, looking to delve into cult subjects, the history of the world, the arts, music, etc.
Some synonyms of scholar are: encyclopedist, understood, illuminated. Ex: Nobody knows more about the history of automobiles than him. He is a real scholar.
In English, the scholar translation is scholar or scholar. Ex: Everybody was surprised when he started his speech, because nobody knew he was a scholar in that matter. / Everyone was surprised when he started his speech, because no one knew he was a scholar on this subject.
Scholar and Popular
High culture is the opposite of popular culture. High culture is one for people with a high level of education, who have a lot of study, a specific training on a particular subject, in particular on art history, movements historical etc.
Popular culture, on the other hand, is a spontaneous and simple manifestation, with regional characteristics, often transmitted between generations. An example of popular culture is samba, which is passed down through several generations.
Classical music
Classical music is the most elaborate type of music, classical, that each culture has its own, and does not belong to any type of folklore or tradition, it is studied and much more elaborate music.
