Oriundo is an adjective used in Portuguese for qualify something as originating from a certain place.
from latin oriundus, this term can be applied as synonymous with originating, proceeding or natural from something or from some specific place.
the latin expression orb from means "originating in the world", since the word orbs describes a surface circumscribed by the orbit of a celestial body, that is, a planet.
When it is said that a person is from a certain place, it means that he is a native of that location.
For example:"The formation of the Brazilian people was originally from Portugal" or "The most delicious grapes come from Vale dos Vinhedos, in the region of Garibaldi and Caxias do Sul".
As a rule, this adjective is only used when the person or thing is considered a foreigner in the place where they are located.
It would not make sense to say “he comes from Brazil” for Brazilians and within the country itself. But using this same phrase for people of other nationalities or referring to a person who is outside their natural country makes more sense.
