influence peddling
It is an illegal practice provided for in the article 332 of the Brazilian Penal Code.
"Requesting, demanding, charging or obtaining, for themselves or for others, an advantage or promise of an advantage, under the pretext of influencing an act performed by a public official in the exercise of the function".
According to the text, the accused can be punished with the penalty of imprisonment from 2 (two) to 5 (five) years, plus the payment of a fine.
If the civil servant is also directly benefited, still according to the legislation, the penalty can be increased to double.

social influence
The so-called social influence consists in the action of make a person or a group act or think differently than usual, following attitudes that were unknown or disregarded by the people who were influenced.
