Iniquity is a feminine noun in the Portuguese language and defines something or someone who behaves contrary to morals, religion, justice, equality, etc.. Iniquity is practiced by the wicked, that is, those who oppose equity.
Iniquity is associated with the act of being bad, unfair and perverse. A wicked person transgresses the laws and moral and ethical norms without any kind of resentment or scruples. Iniquity is usually related to cynicism and lack of character.
Criminality, sin or injustice are some of the actions of those who practice iniquity.
Iniquity in the Bible
In the christian religions, iniquity is the disrespect and denial of the sacred laws and commandments of God, being mentioned several times in the Old and New Testaments of the Holy Bible.
Iniquity can be considered a sin, but in a more aggravating way. According to the bible, the wicked is the individual who is already used to sin, no longer caring about the consequences or being ashamed of committing them.
