Oppressed is an adjective in Portuguese, used to define the individual who has been humiliated or forced to submit to something or something.
An oppressed individual is one who has been dominated violently or with aggressiveness, brutality and tyranny. The act of oppression is related to dictatorship regimes, where the population that does not follow government norms are pressured, tortured, becoming targets of torment.
When something is oppressed it means it is under pressure, that it has no room to expand. Usually, as in the dictatorship, this term is used when informative content or advertisers suffer censorship, being "oppressed by the government", that is, pressured by the government not to be published.
