Ombudsman it is a space that works as a bridge between the population and institutions. It is a service open to citizens to listen to claims, complaints, suggestions and also praise regarding the various services available to the population.
The creation of an ombudsman, be it a channel within a public or private company, comes first of all to fill an increasingly expanded space with regard to consumer rights. The purpose of the ombudsman is to serve this participatory society, which is increasingly demanding and eager for improvements in the quality of life and in the realization of their rights as citizens.
Access to an ombudsman is allowed to any citizen who feels hostage to the ineffectiveness of services provided to society. The ombudsman should be activated when the citizen does not feel fully served, in his rights, by other channels available to his claims.
How an ombudsman works
The channels for accessing the ombudsman are open via email and telephone, or even in person, where the citizen exposes their charges, with all the details, that allow the ombudsman to forward to the competent sectors and, together with them, follow the progress of the service step by step and return to the requester the resolution of the problem.
O ombudsman is the person who acts as a centralizer and facilitator of relations between the citizen and public or private management, collecting accurate information and monitoring the progress of the requested service, contributing to the improvement of management and consequently to the satisfaction of the population.
