Meaning of Expressing (What it is, Concept and Definition)

Express is a verb that corresponds to the action of expose something, either through words or attitudes.

Expressing is declaring something, giving an opinion or conveying what you think about something. As in the phrase: "he lost his fear and was able to express his opinion about the situation".

When it comes to expressing through an action, and not with words, we can understand this sense of represent, as in the example: "the artist's works were able to express their anger at the moment that lived".

When someone talks about "expressing feelings" it means revealing your feelings, what you think and how you feel about another person or thing. It is often associated with declaring love to another person, such as saying "I love you."

A person who doesn't express his feelings is seen as a cold person who doesn't get involved and keeps to himself the things he feels. He is someone difficult to deal with and live with, as you don't know how you feel about certain things or actions. Expressing yourself is a way to maintain a healthy relationship with friends and family.

The opposite of expressing, ie the antonym of the verb, it is to hide, to silence or to silence.
