In Brazil, in several Brazilian cities, book biennials are organized, events that take place every two years and that focus on literature.
In a book biennial there are several fun activities, lectures with important authors of fictional and non-fictional literature, workshops and other works that help to make visitors aware of the educational importance of reading for the construction of the individual as an informed and sensible being critical.
Currently, the Rio de Janeiro Book Biennial and the São Paulo Book Biennial are one of the pioneers and most important biennials dedicated to literature in the country.

One biennial in art is an exhibition dedicated to the contemporary artworks of artists from around the world and which, like any biennium event, takes place every two years.
The main plastic arts event in Brazil is the São Paulo Arts Biennial, which began in the mid-twentieth century, opening space for a new type of art that was gaining ground on the world and contemporary scene, especially the movement modernist.
