Intrapreneurship is a type of entrepreneurship that consists in the practice of employees having the ability to act as business owners, helping, above all, to drive the creation of ideas within organizations, even if indirectly.

The term is an English version of the expression intrapreneur, which means internal entrepreneur, that is, entrepreneurship within the limits of an already established organization. It was first used in 1985 by Gifford Pinchot III.

This practice has become increasingly common within companies and institutions, as it allows professionals to analyze scenarios, create ideas, innovate and seek new opportunities and alternatives so that the organization always has a better operation.
