The Escola Educação team selected in this post a suggestion for lesson plan for the Indian Day, celebrated on April 19th. The model is aimed at nursery classes.
Many schools and entities hold events on April 19 with the aim of highlighting the importance of indigenous peoples for the constitution of the Brazilian people.
In Brazil, the Indian Day was established during the period of new state, in 1943. Period in which the country was commanded by Getulio Vargas.

This class will consist of exploring children's motor coordination and attention. In this way, the intention is for it to be a dynamic class.
At first, put the music Celebrating Indian Day, from Turma do Folclore, available on YouTube, click on the title to access.
Listen to music with children. Start dancing and singing the song. Try to pronounce the words with emphasis and clarity so that they can keep up with you.
Make a circle making room for the class to engage in the activity. In this way, everyone will be included in the didactic proposal.
Set the song to play a second time.
Afterwards, give a painting activity for the children to do. Preferably an indigenous headdress. Here is the example:
After the children color the picture, cut out the headdresses and place them on each child's head.
Use colored inks and use a thin line on each side of their cheeks. See the model:
Print this photo and hang it somewhere in the room and show the children the reason for the painting.
Finally, after the entire class has been featured – including the teacher – put the music back on and enjoy!
