Brazil Teachers Award opens entries on April 15


Registration for the 12th edition of the Brazilian Teachers Award (PPB) will be open on April 15th. The official launch of the Award will take place on the same day, at 3 pm. The ceremony will take place at the Ministry of Education. The registration period is open until May 31st.

All public school teachers of basic education will be able to participate. They must send a report of the pedagogical practice developed with their students. It will be evaluated and may be selected for a state, regional and national award.

The Teachers of Brazil Award has six categories. It is an initiative of the Ministry of Education, together with partner institutions. The objective is to recognize, publicize and reward the work of public school teachers.

The final result of this year's winners will be announced on November 28, in Cuiabá (MT). R$278,000 will be distributed in prizes to educators. In addition, the six national winners will win a trip. Pedagogical coordinators will also receive the award.

Phases

The award includes three stages of evaluation. At the state level, there are 486 awarded, of which 162 go on to the next stage. In the regional stage, there is one winner per category, per region, totaling 30 winners.

The final national stage includes six winners, one from each category. The winning teachers of the regional stage will participate in the final event, with all travel expenses covered by MEC.
