After the end of the application of the first National High School Exam (And either) digital, candidates praised the new test model. According to the students, one of the biggest advantages is not having to mark the answers on a card at the end.
Anna Marya Freitas, 18, took the test in Rio de Janeiro, recounts her experience: “One thing I really liked was the security of not making a mistake when filling out the answer card. I thought the experience of taking the test on the computer was very good. I felt more organized,” she said in an interview with Agência Brasil. In digital mode, the answers were marked on the screen itself.
Franklyn Pinheiro, 28, also approved the digital modality: “Comparing paper with digital, I prefer digital because paper takes too long. You have to fill in the fields and you still have to paint. It's better now, it doesn't take long, and the fields are filled in automatically”, she emphasizes.

This was the first test of Enem's digital modality. In all, 93,000 candidates were registered. The application followed the same pattern as the printed proof. Despite being digital, it was necessary to go to the test site and the participants had the same time to solve the questions.
Thomas Formiga, 17, also praised the digital model: “I took the regular Enem in 2019 and, in comparison, I thought much better the fact that you can mark a question to ask later, you can go back, go back and forth with ease. The fact that the screen is at the height of the face means that the neck does not hurt, as in the printed proof”, he highlights.
