One of the most competitive entrance exams in the country, the Technological Institute of Aeronautics (ITA) will reserve places for quota holders in the exams for admission in 2019. The 110 places for Engineering will include 22 for black students, in compliance with the decision of the Supreme Court of Justice (STJ) on racial quotas in military competitions.
The STJ's decision was promulgated in April of this year, establishing that the quota law is also applied in contests held by the Armed Forces. Remembering that ITA is a public institution of higher education linked to the Brazilian Air Force. It has not yet been defined whether the assessment will be by self-declaration or the establishment of a verification commission.

The ITA entrance exam is among the most competitive in the country. Last year alone, 11,300 candidates applied for vacancies made available by the institution. In addition to the implementation of the quota system, the edition for admission in 2019 brings other changes, such as the application of tests in two stages and, no more, in four consecutive days.
Exams will be held in November and December. First, the students will take the objective tests and then the discursive ones. Details such as dates, number of questions and days of application will be announced soon, through the notice scheduled for publication in the coming days.
