Microsoft makes a real-time map of the coronavirus around the world

THE Microsoft prepared a map that presents the cases of new coronavirus around the world. Updated in real time, the page displays the regions where new Covid-19 cases are notified. The map is similar to the one created earlier this year by John Hopkins University, inspired by the United States.

The data presented in the Microsoft map are the result of information from multiple sources, such as the World Health Organization (WHO), the Center US Disease Prevention and Control, the European Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and Wikipedia.

However, it is noteworthy that WHO has its own map with disease updates around the world. However, the data from both maps are different, and the Microsoft map has the largest number of cases.

Through a simple interface and with translation into Brazilian Portuguese, the Microsoft map shows the cases of contagion and cure for the coronavirus. Due to the ease of use of the site, any individual can easily check the countries most affected by the

pandemic.

The author of the map is the unit of Bing, a competitor of Google, which also has a map service, translation and search engine.

Google is investing to launch its unique map. In addition, the President of the United States, Donald Trump, said recently that the company already had such a map, but it is only a pilot project in the Bay Area, in San Francisco.
