The 10 commandments for good writing!

We know the 10 commandments of God that warn us about sins that disrupt our lives and can have very serious consequences! This is also the case in the newsroom, there are mistakes made by people a lot, without major concerns! But it's good to be on your toes as the judging of the newsstands is rigorous and there is no one who can correct your mistakes later! So, in a pun on biblical laws, the ideal is to repent while you can and not make them anymore!

Let's look at the ten commandments for your writing to surprise the newsstand:

1) Don't write hard, using words to sound like you know everything! Prefer a simpler language. I am not talking here about the use of colloquialism, without restrictions!

2) Criticism without foundation, without purpose should not be made. The analysis about something must be carried out based on facts, real events. Always point out coherent solutions to the problems raised.

3) Use of profanity, jargon, slang and colloquialism is prohibited!

4) The language of msn or orkut should stay at home. Never abbreviate words: vc, qdo, msm, among others. Exception: etc.

5) Don't do unnecessary repetition of words! The text is boring and poor, as the reader will see that you don't have much reading, since you don't have much vocabulary. Use synonyms: girl, girl, child, girl.

6) Don't “stuff sausage” as they say! Some say nonsense things, others say the same thing over and over, in different ways. Be objective, of course. Better quality than quantity. However, selective processes require a minimum of 15 lines. Write about something you know about. Base yourself (do not copy) on a text from the collection, on the ideas exposed there. Make one paragraph for introduction, one for development, and one for conclusion, at least!

Do not stop now... There's more after the advertising ;)

7) Don't forget the cedilla in the “c”, the cut out of the “t”, the drop in the “i”, the capital letters in proper names!

8) Put an end to it! Got a new argument, a new idea? Put a period and not a comma! The periods get so confused that the reader doesn't even know what the initial subject is or who the subject of the period is!

9) Make the verbal agreement. If the subject is plural, the verb must also be! Got in doubt? Read the prayer and identify the subject, who performs the action.

10) Reread the text! It's impossible to try to better organize the text, correct mistakes and get a good grade without rereading what you've written! Detail: Put yourself in the place of a reader who doesn't know anything about the subject covered in your text and ask yourself: Would he understand what I'm writing about and my point of view?

Know what commandments are meant to be followed, not as an obligation or an imposition, but for our good! Think about it!
