The desert covers a large part of the country, with the exception of the area between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, where there is great soil fertility due to the influence that these watercourses produce on the surface. The country's main product is oil, on which the economy is extremely dependent. Another important export product is the date.
Given this information, it is clear that the Iraqi economic sector is very weak.
