Zinc Mineral. Importance of the mineral zinc

Zinc is an essential component of the active site of many enzymes and plays an essential role in hundreds of bodily processes. This mineral is even necessary for the proper functioning of the immune system, zinc can even help with treatment of more serious illnesses such as AIDS, as well as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, fibromyalgia and possibly sclerosis multiple.

Our body does not produce zinc, so external sources are needed for its supply, it is present in greater amounts in whole wheat flour, nuts, eggs, drinking water. Other good sources of zinc are beef, fish, poultry, milk and dairy products, seafood, beans.

Lack of zinc leads to symptoms such as delayed cell growth, chronic diarrhea, delayed sexual maturity, poor appetite and impaired autoimmune system.
