The Dead Sea and High Density

Located in the Middle East, the Dead Sea receives its name due to the large concentration of salt it has, up to 10 times greater than in the oceans. This large amount of salt makes life impossible for fish and microorganisms.
In reality, the Dead Sea is a large lake with an area of approximately 1050 km2; this is supplied by the Jordan River.
The large amount of salt makes the water density very high. This feature attracts tourists from all over the world, given the fact that people float very easily.
But do you know what density is?
The density of a body is the ratio between its mass and its volume.
d = m
V

Density is a characteristic of each material, which is why it is classified as a specific property.
In solids, the density is generally higher than in liquids, this is due to the degree of agitation of the molecules - which in solids it is much smaller than in liquids, causing the molecular distance in the former to be smaller than in the second.
According to Archimedes' theorem, “a fluid in equilibrium acts on a body immersed in it, with a vertical force oriented from the bottom up, called buoyancy, which is applied at the center of gravity of the displaced fluid volume, whose intensity is equal to the weight and fluid volume displaced”.
