Nominal Regency is one of the elements of Normative Grammar that sometimes becomes a matter of doubt for many people.
This is due to the difficulty we encounter in correctly using the preposition, as there are some nouns that require two types of preposition, such as the adjective curious.
It allows two different placements, as we can see:
Mark was curious of scientific discoveries.
the girl is curious for knowing news of your family.
Before further deepening our knowledge on the subject, it is essential that we understand the breadth of the word "Nominal", that is, the term refers to names and these are related to Nouns, Adjectives or Adverbs.
Thus, we conclude that the nominal regency occurs when the term Regent it's a name. Watch:
The population is immune to the yellow fever virus.
So we have:
Regent fear - immune (adjective)
Governed term - virus

The girl looked distressed with the result of the contest.
She looked pained to receive this news.
attentive
Preposition - a; in
We must be aware of everything that happens in society.
She was attentive to the dish her mother was preparing.
Avid
Preposition - of; per
I'm avid for hope.
Employees were eager for good news.
inside out
Preposition - the
Ricardo was averse to any problems that might occur.
Devotee
Preposition - a; in
The faithful are devotees of St. Anthony.
Grandma was devoted to various saints.
Passable
Preposition - of
All human beings are subject to failure.
imbued
Preposition - of; in
João and Mariana were imbued with good intentions.
He gave lectures imbued with the rules of the school.
Resident
preposition - in
That elegant guy is a resident of São Paulo.
This entire population lives in Bairro Floresta.
