To apply, you must be at least 15 years old for certification in elementary school and 18 years old for high school. Legal emancipation does not change the minimum age for participation in Encceja.

Upon registration, among other things, you will need to provide a valid email address, CPF number and indicate the State Department of Education or Federal Institute responsible for certification. Registration will be free.

Refund

If the student enrolls in Ecceja 2018, does not show up for the tests and wants to participate in the exam in 2019, he must justify his absence before enrolling. Participants who do not explain their absence within the prescribed period will not be prevented from taking the exam in 2019, but will have to reimburse the government for the costs of the exam. The fee initially foreseen is R$45.

MEC's intention is to reduce the rate of absenteeism in tests, which in 2017 was over 60%. This news was announced during a press conference with the Minister of Education, Mendonça Filho, and the president of the National Institute for Educational Studies and Research (Inep), Maria Inês Fini.

Understand how Encceja works

The certificate of completion of Elementary/High School or the partial declaration of proficiency is issued by the certifying institution, indicated at the time of registration. Until 2016, the Certificate of Completion of High School was awarded based on the grades of the National High School Exam (And either).

Those who wish can subscribe to both Encceja and Enem this year. If you reach the minimum grades in both exams, you can participate in the SiSU (Unified Selection System). Enem's Edict should be published on March 21.

In addition to this edition, for residents in Brazil, new notices will be released for persons deprived of liberty (PPL) and residents abroad. Other details can be found at Encceja website.
