More than 40 thousand candidates from all over Brazil signed up for the 8th National Olympiad in the History of Brazil (ONHB). Of this total, 75 teams, formed by 300 candidates, won medals last Sunday, August 21, in Campinas (SP).
the olympics of history of Brazil were composed of six phases, the first five being online. The last stage took place on Saturday (20), at the State University of Campinas (Unicamp), and had different issues and challenges. 275 candidates participated.

The state of Ceará occupies the first place in the ranking, with 19 medals, being one gold, nine silver and nine bronze. Next is São Paulo, with 15 medals. In third place is the state of Rio Grande do Norte, with 14 medals. All participants will receive a certificate.

Students from public and private schools in the 8th and 9th grade of elementary and high school were able to participate in the project, developed by Unicamp. Participants could be from regular education, vocational education, supplementary education or Youth and Adult Education (EJA).
Each team consisted of three students from the same school, under the guidance of a teacher. The professionals were able to guide different teams, but each student could only participate in one group.
