Illicit is a noun and adjective in the Portuguese language that refers to what not allowed under the law, ethics or morals; concerning illegality; something that is prohibited by law.
Etymologically, the word "illicit" originated from the Latin illicit, referring to what is illegal, prohibited or morally wrong.
One illicit behavior it is the one who opposes the principles of morals and ethics, pre-established by the norms of a society. Some actions committed by human beings, when they do not correspond to what is determined by the law and good civic conduct, are considered illegal.
