Around eleven or twelve years of age, children enter a phase that we call puberty, where various bodily transformations take place, due to hormones in our bodies. It is the passage from childhood to adolescence.
These changes do not appear delimited at the same age, but varies from child to child, depending on the stimuli they receive from their own maturation.
Usually, these transformations are not well accepted or they bother young people a lot, making them more shy.
In boys, the most evident changes are the birth of black hair on the body, the timbre of the voice that thickens and tunes out, the growth acceleration of the body – called the spur phase, the increase in muscle mass, blackheads and pimples pointing on the face and the first ejaculation of the penis.
In girls, there is also the appearance of black hair, the growth of breasts, the enlargement of the hips, the appearance of blackheads and pimples and menarche - the first menstruation that occurred.
Puberty - Age of bodily transformations
In fact, this period of mutation is what characterizes the development of the human body for fertilization, indicating that they will be able to get pregnant if they have sexual intercourse. This does not mean that sexual activity should start at this stage, as they do not yet have physical or emotional structures to become parents. But these changes are necessary and happen as a way to prepare the body and mind for a few more years, until reproduction can take place without harming the young person and their body.
After these transformations, they become more centered, more involved with adult things, they begin to notice and want to participate in activities that they didn't do before and had no interest. It is the bridge to the adult world, where your perception of the world around you. His thinking changes, making the young man more mature.
