Date of issue is the indication of the date on which a certain document, letter or object was forwarded or delivered to its recipient.
The word “expedition” derives from the verb “expedite”, which means to deliver or distribute. Knowing this, the expression "shipment date" would be the date on which a certain thing was delivered or distributed to a certain place, for example.
Usually, the date of issue is indicated in some official documents, such as the RG (General Registry), the CNH (National Driver's License), among others.

Example:"The issue date of my ID card is May 25, 2008".
In some selection processes, such as public tenders, it is usually mandatory to indicate the date of issuance of the documents indicated in the application form.
In this case, it consists of the date on which this same document was issued, that is, the period in which it became available.
Issue date
It's the same thing as the shipping date. Some documents use the term “issue date” to represent the period in which a document, for example, was issued.
