O fruit consumption is essential for a healthy eating and ideally, three to five servings are consumed daily. They are composed of water, vitamins, minerals, dietary fiber and flavonoids, in addition to helping to regulate the body. Regular fruit consumption is associated to reducing the risk of having various diseases, as they also help to strengthen immunity.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), there is evidence that the fruit intake decreases the risk of diabetes and obesity. The ideal is to offer them in natura, because, in this way, we take advantage of everything that the fruit has to offer us. If made into juice or processed, they lose fibers and some nutrients.

Putting fruit in children's school lunch boxes is a great way to ensure their consumption. AND if the fruit is in season, it will be tastier, healthier and cheaper. Fruits with more flavor are more accepted by children.
