Carolina Godinho is the author of the @lanchinhos profile and will give tips for healthy and fun snacks.
Today our proposal is very different from those that have appeared here before, as we will not teach how to prepare or keep foods. Today's tip is to feed our children otherwise, not just physically, but also affectively. I always put this tip into practice here at home every day when preparing school snacks, and the ingredient used is sure to have plenty of it at home: love.
Let's learn how we can complete our little ones' lunchboxes with more than just food for the body, but with lots of feeling and welcoming. let's go too start adding love to school lunch boxes. See how this can be done in a very simple but very special way!

Tips for Adding Love to School Lunch Boxes
Often the time we spend with our children is a small part of the day, but what if we can make ourselves present and
demonstrate our love at other times of the day? In those moments when we are not physically together?That's what I try to do with every snack of my kids. I put all my love into the preparation, thinking of every detail you like, so that when they go to eat the snack, they feel it. For me it's a way to make myself present that moment.
In my case, I choose:
- Shapes shapes and cutters;
- Favorite foods (or at least they like it);
- Lunch box accessories;
- Decoration on food, packaging etc.

Do not stop now... There's more after the advertising ;)
But do you need all this to make yourself present and show love? No! That's the way I found it and it fit my dynamic. But if you are that person who cannot prepare food at home (for whatever reason), you can:
- Take care of what is being sent;
- Write a little note;
- Draw or write on banana peel, packaging, napkins, etc.
Finding a simple “I love you” at lunch changes anyone's day. The child will eat that food with other energy, with more pleasure and joy. this is also very healthy! How about we try to make these treats for the little ones even if it is eventually as a surprise? I'm sure it will generate a affective memory beautiful!
As a way to inspire and encourage this habit, it brought suggestions of some simple things that can be done in a short time and that bring a difference in children's lives. Check out the suggestions in the gallery below:
