Marília Macedo, who is in love with Christmas, has prepared, with great care, easy and tasty recipes to be used during Christmas festivities.
We brought one more suggestion in the series of publications with Christmas recipes in order to increase your options for starters, main courses and desserts, with more preparations classics and other less obvious ones, thus diversifying your supper, with new flavors and new textures.
In this post, we bring the date and walnut gateau recipe, another dessert suggestion, a little out of the ordinary for most suppers and bringing an air of sophistication to your Christmas table.
Date and walnut gateau

Ingredients
250g of dates
240g shelled walnuts
3 eggs
300g of sugar
250g of wheat flour
1/2 cup of milk tea
1 teaspoon baking soup
1 tablespoon of vanilla essence

Preparation mode
Beat the eggs in an electric mixer until they are white. Add sugar, milk and vanilla and beat until well combined. In a separate refractory, mix the sifted flour and yeast. Add the contents of the mixer to the flour mixture and mix well without over-beating. Add the dates and chopped walnuts, lastly the vanilla essence. Butter a cake tin of your choice and bake in a heated oven at 180°C for approximately 40 minutes. Let it rest before unmolding. Decorate the cake to your liking.
