Pyromania- What is Pyromania?

Pyromania is a behavior in which a person has to purposefully shoot fire with some intention. This behavior raises questions about whether or not it is a mental disorder.

A pyromaniac person is fascinated by fire, is curious and attracted to circumstances related to fire, enjoys setting fire. This person can go a long time without setting fire, but there is a predisposition to practice such an act.

Due to the lack of studies on pyromania, it is not known for sure what makes a person feel the desire and pleasure of shooting fire at objects or people. It is known that the pyromaniac shoots fire at something when he is in a state of tension and after shooting fire he feels extreme pleasure.

Usually pyromania is linked to adults with antisocial personality, adults suspected of having disorders mental, schizophrenic, alcohol and drug users, conduct disorders and organic mental disorders.
