Gestalt Gestalt Psychology

The term Gestalt, in Portuguese, means form or configuration, but it is not widely used in Psychology as it does not match its meaning in this area specifically.

Gestalt Psychology is a coherent theory within the history of Psychology.

Developed by Chrinstiam von Ehrenfels, philosopher and psychologist, Gestalt Psychology studies the sensations (psychological datum) of space-form and time-form (the physical datum).

The bases of this psychological theory were structured from these studies, which established the form and its perception, by Max Wertheimer, Wolfgang Köhler and Kurt Koffka.

The Gestalt Theory studies the perception and sensation of movement, the psychological processes involved in a stimulus and how it is perceived by the subject.
