Furthermore, as reported by prosecutor Fernanda Peixoto, from the Public Ministry of São Paulo (MPSP), tests were already scheduled to be administered on those dates for indigenous communities and Foundation schools Home. The MPSP, to date, has not received information about problems with the registration system. However, it should be noted that if non-enrollment was caused by failures in the SEDUC platform, it is expected that the situation will be corrected with the reapplication of the exam for the affected students.

Another decision, taken after a recommendation from the MPSP, changed the notice to minimize losses to students who registered within the deadline, but needed to travel to the capital of São Paulo to take the exams.

The change in application dates impacted students from the interior of São Paulo and other states. The secretariat guaranteed that they will not be eliminated if they miss the test on Monday (4). To avoid elimination, they must send an email with documents proving the impossibility of participating in the second day of the test.

Provão Paulista is a new entrance exam that will offer more than 15 thousand undergraduate places in 2024 in five higher education institutions linked to the state government. Intended exclusively for public school students, the exam is serial, comprising tests during the three years of high school to accumulate scores in the competition for places in the University education.
