Archaeologist Olaf Popkiewicz and his team revealed an area stretching over a hectare, housing approximately 50 tombs dating back to 2,000 years ago.
During this period, the region was inhabited by the Goths, a people of Germanic origin who were formed from the union of several clans.
The Goths were a nomadic society that roamed vast expanses of land, migrating from northern Europe, specifically Scandinavia, southwards, towards the Roman Empire.
