The new service will take into account the “Application Protocol”. This will mean that policyholders will no longer need to go to a Social Security agency to submit their documentation.

To do this, they will be able to use the Atestmed system to request sickness benefit and send the necessary proof to obtain the benefit.

The idea of ​​this decision by the Federal Government is to try to reduce the queue of INSS requests. But there is one exception: in cases of workplace accidents, it is not possible to carry out the process digitally.

To attach documents to Atestmed, you must:

  1. Access “My INSS“;
  2. Search for “Request Disability Benefit”, then click on “New application”;
  3. Choose sickness benefit under “Temporary incapacity benefit” and press “Aware”.

Who can request INSS sickness benefit?
