The group terrorist Hamas carried out attacks against the territory of Israel this Saturday, October 7th. Authorship of the attack on Israel
The Hamas group claimed responsibility for the attacks through an official statement. They call what happened "Al-Aqsa Flood", Al-Aqsa is the name of the 3rd holiest site for Muslims, behind only Mecca and Medina.
According to Hamas, the attack was a response to Israel's attacks on Palestinian community which would include banning Muslims from practicing their religion in the Al-Aqsa Mosque. They stated the following regarding the justifications for the attack:
