The appearance of the Supermoon, a reason for admiration for many skywatchers, occurs when such maximum proximity occurs during a Full moon.

During this event, the Moon is very close to the Earth, resulting in a luminosity of the lunar disk that is about 30% greater than that observed at ordinary Full Moons.

Furthermore, the star appears to appear about 14% larger when viewed from Earth, compared to traditional situations.

Observing the Supermoon

To enjoy the Supermoon spectacle and get the best observation experience of the night sky, it is essential to choose an ideal location.

This point must be characterized by darkness and silence, providing an environment that does not interfere with the appreciation of the phenomenon.

According to information from NASA, the Supermoon will be visible shortly after sunset on September 28th, providing an exciting start to the celestial spectacle.

However, to witness the Supermoon in all its splendor and reaching its maximum peak of brightness, those interested need to prepare for the early hours of September 29th, around 4:58 am.
