Google announced that its application focused on podcasts will be deactivated in 2024. All of his content will move to YouTube Music. The company has been preparing its users for the change for some time.
According to Big Tech, in April this year, it was already possible to hear the podcasts in the Music app, without having to pay for the subscription. You can listen to them in the background and also while you are offline. The entire catalog will be updated by the end of 2023.

The application focused exclusively on podcasts has existed since 2018, with a free library and suggestions personalized to the listener's tastes.
Until 2020, the function was only available to Android users. After that, the app finally launched for iOS, and in the web versions for Windows and macOS.
However, the decision to end the service happens because the gradual change was already happening on the part of the users themselves.
In other words, the majority of listeners were already focused on the YouTube (23%), while only 4% used the podcast app.
