A temple dedicated to the Egyptian god Amun and ritual artifacts for the Greek goddess Aphrodite were found in a mysterious sunken city in Egypt. The valuable objects hold important records of Greek and Egyptian cultures.
The news was given by the European Institute of Underwater Archeology (IEASM) which released a note about the discovery of the historical objects during excavations off the coast of Egypt, in the Bay of Aboukir. The site was found during a search for the remains of the ancient city Thonis-Heracleion.
