The artist's first works with Artificial Intelligence were carried out in 2018, for the Salvador Dali museum. Later, he explored the area in other formats until he found the necessary resources to recreate classic figures and famous designs.
Since October 2020, Shipley has been using Artificial intelligence generative approach to transform artworks and faces into a completely new artistic production.
This technology follows certain parameters and data sets that need to be adjusted as the art is being recreated. However, for the artist, this is the most exciting part of producing with AI: the ability to learn and experiment.
In addition to exploring AI, the artist also develops work with motion design and visual effects. For him, art can benefit from this new technology, despite the uncertainties that AI techniques still generate in relation to the future.
“Art provides a space where we can explore some of these questions. It’s a really exciting time for art and I can’t wait to see what I and other artists continue to do with this new medium,” Shipley told Fubiz.
