An AI arrives in Brazil that teaches people how to invest in shares; get to know her

A Artificial Intelligence (AI), increasingly, is entering all sectors of society. And now, it’s entering the investment market with both feet in the door.

Last Tuesday, September 5th, the investment tracking platform Status Invest launched Status Alpha. The tool uses AI to recommend shares in more than 37 thousand companies, in 137 stock exchanges around the world — among them, B3, the São Paulo Stock Exchange.

The idea of the tool is to help individual investors, especially those who don't have much experience with investments. With public data, the algorithm recommends stocks to buy, sell or hold.

It is also expected that Status Alpha will also generate complex and detailed reports. Among the items, it is expected to include balance sheets, income statements, cash flow and an overview of the company.

How was AI built?

The technology behind Status Alpha is from an Israeli company, Bridgewise. According to the company's CEO, Gabriel Diamant, the algorithm uses a system that assigns a numerical score to each action.

This way, the software has a sharper probability of the company, when compared to the others.

According to Tiago Reis, founder of the Suno group, which purchased Status Invest, “the recommendations delivered by AI are built based on the investing factor”. In other words, the technology does not take into account recommendations made by other companies in the market.

Diamant himself also reinforces that the software's classifications do not suffer human interference. It's just data and algorithms, which use a system of machine learning advanced.

I will, please

Everything can be done through the Status Alpha app. There, the investor will find both AI recommendations and reports. However, the service will be paid.

As published in Valor Investe, the software has an annual monthly fee of R$1,197, with the possibility of a 20% discount now, at the launch of the program.
