Several pioneers in the field ofArtificial intelligence(AI) and technology experts have spoken out about fears and concerns about the potential for sentient machines turn against humans.
Among these experts is Sam Altman, creator of ChatGPT and name at the head of the OpenAI company, which categorically states that there is no reason to fear that these engines will rebel.

Experts, in turn, argue that the idea that AI systems acquire awareness and self-initiative is unfounded and not possible with current technology.
They explain that machine learning machines are, in essence, tools programmed to process information and respond according to previously established standards, without autonomy or conscience.

However, an intriguing revelation emerges when considering the perspective of Sam Altman, founder of OpenAI and creator of ChatGPT.
While Altman is in tune with the general opinion that AI is not a threat, he apparently doesn't entirely rule out future challenges.

Altman devised two contingency plans in case of an unwanted AI turnaround. The first involves a kind of “blue backpack”, carrying a MacBook Pro capable of shutting down and rendering the servers that support the AI unusable.
The interesting thing is that this plan makes an analogy to the nuclear briefcase of world leaders, which would be able to fire nuclear bombs from anywhere in the world and at any time.
But what if it fails?
However, the second part of the plan may generate even more discussions. Altman exposed his own internal debate about possible threat scenarios, which include synthetic biology, AI, and energy or war crises.
Preparing for any eventuality, he revealed the existence of a customized bunker that would protect him and ensure his survival.
Although the discussion around artificial consciousness and its risks is still frequent, the general consensus seems to lean towards the view that they are a tool to make our lives easier, not a threat.
Machines, even highly sophisticated ones, will remain limited to the programming and instructions provided by their human creators. That is, apparently in fact there is nothing to fear!
