impressive feat
Although the feat is considered impressive by the mountaineering community, Kristin Harila impresses with her experience in mountaineering.
The woman, who was previously a professional skier, climbed her first 8,000-meter peak in 2021. However, his companion and mountaineer partner Tenjin has been known to work in the mountains since he was a teenager.

After climbing her first 8,000-meter peak, Kristin found herself in deep doubt about her goal.
“I was like, ‘I’m 35 and I want to climb them all. If I want to do this, I need to be quick,'” the woman in the pair of climbers said in an interview with the Times.
Climbers' previous attempt failed
The climber had already tried to accomplish the feat during the year 2022, however, due to the Covid-19, the mission failed. In the period Kristin would have only managed to climb 12 of the mountains that she had proposed.
However, even with the great feat by the pair of climbers in the year 2023, many question the means used.
This is because the duo would have used oxygen equipment during the climb and helicopters to help transport items.
Even with the caveat on the part of the community of professionals in the area, the climbs achieved by Kristin and Tenjin are still impressive.
Furthermore, it still stands as the current record for climbing the 14 highest peaks in the shortest amount of time.
