A peculiarity of this scenario resides in the presence of a star, or possibly several, that resemble our own Sun in its last evolutionary phases.

The latest views pulled by James Webb from NASA, ESA, JAXA and the Canadian Space Agency, have led researchers to reveal a wealth of impressive information!

These remarkable images come from a celestial region known as Messier 57, also called the Ring Nebula or NGC 6720.

This astronomical object, which awakens in the sky, takes the form of a planetary nebula located in the constellation Lyra. Despite the intriguing name of "planetary nebula", it has nothing to do with planets.

In fact, this designation describes a specific phase in the evolution of a star with characteristics similar to those of our own Sun. Of course, it's not about our beloved star!

One of the team members involved in the project, Dr Mike Barlow, who represents UCL in the UK, expressed his views on the contributions of NASA's Space Telescope.

He highlighted the extraordinary nature of the view provided by the Ring Nebula, which presented details never before explored.

Dr. Barlow noted that the high-resolution images not only revealed the intricate details of the layer in expansion of the nebula, but they also teased out, with exquisite precision, the inner area around the white dwarf central.

Scientists are witnessing the last moments of a star's life, a foretaste of what could be the distant landscape of the Sun in the future.

Studies conducted by JWST have opened up a new perspective for exploring these remarkable cosmic events. This nebula will serve to better understand certain characteristics of the Sun, for example.
