Materials

To make our air freshener, we'll only need two ingredients for the mix, one of which you probably already have at home. It is the common softener, which we use to perfume the clothes when washing them. Secondly, you will also need a maximum of 5 sheets of gelatin, which we will use to dissolve and give consistency to the fabric softener.

But don't forget the extra materials, which will ensure that you can use the product anywhere in the house. Starting with small cloth bags, which are usually sold in specific stores for handicrafts or utilities. Usually these bags already have a string to tie them. However, if you can't find these specifically, use small pieces of string to finish it off. Another tip is just to separate a piece of fabric and cut it into small parts and tie it with string. However, make sure the fabric has a consistent texture so the air freshener doesn't leak.

How to make

  • Start by pouring the fabric softener into a microwave-safe glass container;
  • Then, take it to the device just for a while just to heat the product and then remove it;
  • Furthermore, it is worth remembering that it is possible to carry out this process on the stove, as long as you heat the fabric softener in a double boiler;
  • Then, dissolve the 5 sheets of gelatine in the softener, if you use the 200ml of the bottle. If you use less fabric softener, reduce the amount of sheets as proportionally as possible;
  • Then, pour the mixture into a mold of your choice and let it rest for twenty-four hours.

The next day, finish off by placing the air freshener in cloth or fabric bags, distribute them in strategic places around your home and enjoy the yummy smell!
