This news brings relief to thousands of nursing professionals across the country, who have been anxiously awaiting this payment.
Health professionals, working in different spheres (federal, state, municipal and District Federal), will receive nine installments throughout the year 2023, with amounts retroactive to May, in addition to the expected 13th wage. To make this action viable, the federal government will allocate approximately R$ 7.3 billion.
understanding the context
Earlier this month, federal civil servants in the nursing category already received additional amounts for the months of May and June, along with the portion for July.
According to the Ministry of Health, the other installments will be duly settled by the end of the year, including the payment of the long-awaited 13th salary.
It is important to highlight that the calculation of the floor will be applied based on the guidelines of the Advocacy General of the Union (AGU), considering the basic salary and bonuses of a general nature, excluding those of a guys.
This approach aims to ensure a fair and equitable distribution of resources, in compliance with the principles of equality and transparency.

The news of the payment of the national nursing floor is the result of a series of recent developments.
In May, Minister Luís Roberto Barroso, of the Federal Supreme Court (stf), authorized the payment after sanctioning the special credit of BRL 7.3 billion by the Federal government. This credit was earmarked specifically for that purpose.
Previously, the national floor, defined by Law No. 14,434, had been suspended since September 2022 by decision of Minister Barroso himself. This suspension was in effect until a clarification was made about the financial impact on public and private entities in the health area.
The states pointed out that the local financial impact would be around BRL 10.5 billion, and the lack of resources made fulfilling this obligation unfeasible.
Barroso's new decision stipulates that states, the Federal District and municipalities, together with private entities that serve at least 60% of their patients through the Unified System of Health (SUS), have the responsibility of implementing the national floor only within the limits of the resources received through the financial assistance offered by the Union for this purpose.
The announcement of the payment schedule brings relief to nursing professionals and highlights the importance of the government's commitment to public health and the well-being of those who work on the front lines of care and medical assistance in Brazil.
This step represents a significant advance in the recognition and appreciation of these professionals who are so essential to society.
