Voting represents the exercise of citizenship, every four years there are elections to choose mayors and councilors. Candidates are currently not allowed to attach stickers or any material related to the election campaign in poles, walls, bus stops and other public places, in addition to rallies with the presentation of artists.
On election days, people who, by chance, disclose the name of a candidate may be arrested and may remain in prison for a period ranging from six to one year or sentenced to community service and traffic ticket.
