How to be able to issue the second free copy?
To issue the duplicate without paying anything for it, there are some requirements that people need to meet. Check below the situations that allow some to be exempt when issuing a new RG.
- Elderly (from 65 years old);
- In case of robbery or theft within a period of up to 30 days after registration of the B.O;
- Unemployed for a period exceeding three months (just present the Work and Social Security Card – CTPS);
- Citizens in a situation of poverty or extreme poverty (presenting the Social Identification Number – NIS);
- If there are typing errors in the document (within a period of up to 90 days);
- If there is damage or is lost due to force majeure, the B.O must be presented within 90 days after the occurrence.

What documents are needed for the 2nd copy of the identity?

- CPF or proof of registration with the Federal Revenue Service;

New version of RG
In addition to the new RG having two versions, digital and physical, it has some other aesthetic changes. The new document model may contain information such as: Driver's License (CNH), Work (CTPS), voter registration, professional identification, military certification, SUS card and others.
The new RG model features a QR Code, in addition to other security elements, such as details in tactile relief or reactive to ultraviolet light to attest to the authenticity of the document.
