According to data from federal government, Brazil is responsible for the production of 9.7 million tons of beef, exporting 1/4, or 25% of national production.

Not only was picanha among the 100 best dishes in the world, with tropeiro beans, a traditional dish of Minas Gerais cuisine, ranked 50th. The Ministry of Tourism sees the good placement of the national fish with good eyes, since the moqueca, a dish made with fish and shrimp, came right after the dish from Minas Gerais, in 49th.

Another Brazilian dish well placed on the list, the swamped cow, a typical caipira dish, which he uses as a main ingredients cassava (also called cassava or cassava) and beef ribs, ranked 29th placing.

According to information from the World Tourism Organization, gastronomy is the third main reason for traveling around the world.

The site also lists the best cuisines in the world, according to its own evaluation system. On that list, Italian cuisine comes first. Also on the podium are Greek and Spanish cuisines. Brazil is in a more distant position in this qualification, being in 12th place, behind cuisines such as Indian, Turkish, Chinese, Japanese, Peruvian, French and some others.

For those who like to travel to other countries, the site can be a good indicator to choose good restaurant with the traditional cuisine of the place, as it also lists the best food options for each country. If you want to check more, just access the TasteAtlas page.
