The novelty, which is a redesign of one of the greatest classics in the automotive industry, was received with great enthusiasm by the market, especially in Europe and the Americas.
However, to the dismay of the more traditional fans of the former Kombi, the new model keeps only the nickname as a focus of nostalgia, as both its exterior and its interior refer to a more modern approach.

Among the high-tech options of the new Kombi are a 5.3-inch digital instrument panel, a multimedia center with a 10-inch screen and three USB-C ports for charging.
In addition, the vehicle also has voice control compatibility, which could not be missing from this list of sophisticated features, increasingly common in luxury cars.
Do you already have a date for the arrival of the new Kombi in Brazil?
So far, the start date for electric Kombi sales in Brazil has not yet been disclosed. According to preliminary information, Volkswagen has plans to launch the ID Buzz in Brazil only in 2025.
The German automaker, which is also going to announce other electric models along with the new Kombi, is manufacturing limited batches of ID Buzz, and so far only 10,000 units have been delivered to customers residing in Europe.
One piece of data that has worried resellers and consumers in Brazil is the price that the ID Buzz electric Kombi will have when it reaches the national market. That's because the station wagon is being sold from 65 thousand euros in Europe.
When converted to real, the value reaches approximately R$ 365 thousand, at the current quotation and even without the addition of fees and taxes. With that, it is expected that the new Kombi arrives in Brazil as the most expensive Volkswagen model in the country.
Additional Buzz ID Details:
- The vehicle is 4.7 m long, 1.9 m wide and 1.9 m high;
- It comes equipped with LED headlights and heated windshield, which prevents fogging;
- The model will be sold in Brazil with options for five and seven seats;
- The car is equipped with a versatile 201-horsepower electric motor that sits on its rear axle. In addition, there are three driving modes: Eco, Comfort and Sport;
- The battery of the new Kombi has 77 kWh. With this capacity, the vehicle reaches 400 km of autonomy, according to Volkswagen;
- Still according to official information disclosed on the manufacturer's website, the trunk of the electric Kombi ID Buzz has 1121 liters, which can become 2205 liters if the rear seats are lowered.
There is an expectation that, by the end of 2023, the volkswagen present more powerful models of the new Kombi, even offering options with four-wheel drive.
In fact, one of these variants of ID Buzz has already been suggested. This is the GTX version, which, according to rumors, will have a double engine and 295 horsepower.
In addition, the owners of the new Kombi will have the remote software update system (OTA) and the Travel Assist assistance system, from Volkswagen itself.
These differentials bring more comfort, since it will even be possible to make updates in the software of the vehicle and some internal remote controls, without having to go to a physical assistance authorized.
