New Facebook app for kids is available in Brazil

O Facebook is the most used social network in the world. Among its users are people of all ages, such as young people, adults and seniors.

However, children under the age of 13 are protected and prevented from having accounts on social networks, as defined by the Children Online Protection Act.

With that in mind, Facebook launched a novelty, the new version of the social network, entirely aimed at children, the Messenger Kids.

The new version, previously only available in Canada, the United States, Mexico, Peru and Thailand, is now available in 74 other countries, including Brazil.

Messenger Kids is a tool that allows children aged 7 to 12 years use the social network safely.

The app allows kids to access and use photos, videos, filters, stickers and games while chatting with their friends. The interface is simpler and has no advertising.

In addition, parents can monitor friend requests and even usage time and schedules, all selected by the

Parental Control Panel.

The account is created directly on Messenger Kids, not related to Facebook, in compliance with the Online Children's Protection Act.

All recent requests and activities may be monitored by those responsible, but also it is possible that parents leave some of these options flexible and controlled by themselves children.

In addition to this, the interaction function with specific adults, authorized by parents, may be enabled. This function enables, for example, friendship with teachers and adult family members, with the knowledge of parents.

Messenger Kids is available for iOS and Android devices in the app stores.
