SECTI and Dell apply for 2,000 vacancies for the qualification program

A Secretary of State for Science, Technology and Innovation (SECTI), in partnership with the Dell Research, Development and Innovation Center (lead) are offering two thousand jobs in 13 online courses in the field of technology and business.

Due to COVID-19 and its effects, SECTI and Dell aim to promote professional qualification during this period of social isolation. The program is aimed at disabled people (PCD) or in situation of social vulnerability who are residents of Rio de Janeiro. The courses are free and the methodology offers flexible schedules and monitoring by distance professors.

Of the total vacancies, 1,200 are intended for people with disabilities and the other 800 for people in situations of social vulnerability. To prove the necessary requirements, data will be taken from information provided by candidates in a socioeconomic questionnaire.

Courses

All courses issue certificates to successful candidates. The certificate will be provided within 60 days and emailed to the candidate. The 2,000 opportunities are divided into the following courses:

  • Entrepreneurship and ethics
  • Customer service
  • Introduction to Google Online Apps
  • practical informatics
  • Introduction to programming logic
  • Fundamentals of object-oriented programming with JAVA
  • Integration of applications and services with JAVA
  • Introduction to application development in JAVA
  • Database fundamentals with JAVA
  • Fundamentals of web programming with JAVA
  • Fundamentals of mobile development using Android API and JAVA
  • Planning and development of Android applications using Google APIs
  • Standardization of web projects with JAVA EE and Spring Framework

The workload of the courses offered vary between 25 hours and 80 hours, with a minimum of five classes and a maximum of eight.

In addition, the site where the courses will be given provides follow-up by a Libras interpreter to better serve people with hearing impairments and users of the Libras. Brazilian Sign Language.

Registrations

Entries are open until April 27th and are carried out through the Lead's website. At the time of registration, the candidate must choose only one course option.

The preliminary list of applicants will be released from 17:00 on April 29th. Candidates who wish to appeal against the result may do so until April 30th. The final result of those selected will come out on the 4th of May, while the start of the courses will be on the 11th of the same month.
