The standard version is Windows 10 Pro, which will only be sold until 01/31/2023, so the journey that started in 2015 will come to an end. The operating system costs about R$ 1,099 for those who still want it, however, in a few days the system will leave the company's catalogue.

Windows 10 has reached, according to StatCounter, the status of the most popular OS for the Redmond company, with a global market share of 67.95% at the end of 2022.

Windows 11, on the other hand, has 16.97% of that percentage, but it is a new version that can easily surpass the old version in the future.

Windows 11 sale

After the end of Windows 10 sales, Microsoft would need to offer users another alternative. That's why it's important to make the updated version available for computers.

In this way, Windows 11 Home can now be found on the Microsoft website for R$ 1,099, which is the same value as the old model.
However, Microsoft basically hides the link to purchase the new model. Only after going through several suggestions for PCs and Microsoft partner stores, you can find the purchase option.

Security updates will last until 2025

Microsoft will maintain updates to protect against viruses, spyware and malware on the user's computer until October 2025. In the October 2022 Update, the 22H2 update was released to the OS. It provided the option to receive important notifications even when Focus mode was enabled.

In November 2022, Microsoft's company ended support for Windows 10 21H1. This means that computers running that version no longer receive upgrades to platform health and safety.

Even with Microsoft stopping selling the Windows 10 operating system, the user will not lose support anytime soon if they keep their computer up to date.
